# Rename an Anthale Organization in the Dashboard

> Change the name of an Anthale organization in the dashboard when the current label no longer matches the account, environment, or operating boundary.

This guide covers renaming an organization in Anthale. Anthale currently supports updating the organization name, but not other organization settings, roles, or permissions.

## Before you start

* Switch to the organization you want to rename.
* Decide on the exact new organization name before you open settings.
* Confirm that only the organization name is changing.

## Rename the organization

    Use the left selector to switch to the organization you want to rename.

  <Step title="Open organization settings">
    Open the [Organizations page](https://platform.anthale.com/organizations) for the current organization.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Update the name">Replace the existing name with the new organization name.</Step>
  <Step title="Save the change">Save the new name, then confirm the updated name appears in the left selector.</Step>

## Verify the result

* Confirm the new name appears in the left organization selector.
* Confirm the [Organizations page](https://platform.anthale.com/organizations) shows the updated name for the current organization.
