Before you start
- Confirm which service or environment uses the key.
- Switch to the correct Organization before you change the key state.
- Decide whether you are pausing traffic temporarily or returning a replacement key to service.
Change the key status
1
Find the key in the dashboard
Open the API key page for the correct Organization, then find the key you
want to disable or enable.
2
Open the action menu
Click the three-dot menu on that key’s row.
3
Change the status
The menu shows either Disable or Enable based on the current key status. Choose that action to change the
key state.
4
Confirm the change
Finish any confirmation step in the dashboard and wait for the list to reflect the new key state.
Verify the result
- Confirm the key now shows the expected enabled or disabled state in the list.
- If you disabled the key, confirm the dependent service is no longer expected to authenticate with it.
- If you enabled the key, run a normal integration test from the service that uses it.
