This guide covers creating a policy in the dashboard once you already know which workflow or trust boundary it should protect.

Before you start

  • Select the Organization that should own the policy.
  • Decide whether you are configuring the input path, the output path, or both.
  • Know which guardrails and actions the workflow requires.

Create the policy

1

Open policies in the dashboard

Open the Policies page for the organization that will own the new policy.
2

Start the create flow

Create a new policy by clicking the “Create Policy” button in the top right of the page.
3

Add clear policy details

Give the policy a name that identifies the workflow, boundary, and environment. Add a description when it helps the next operator understand what the policy is for.
4

Configure guardrails and policy behavior

For each guardrail, configure behavior separately for input and output only where you need it. Set which action Anthale should return when a threat is detected, and tune other attributes such as thresholds or allowed and blocked lists for that workflow.
5

Save the policy

Save the new policy.
Use one policy per workflow or trust boundary. That keeps rollout decisions and guardrail tuning easier to reason about.

Verify the policy

  • Confirm the policy appears in the list for the current Organization.
  • Reopen the policy and check that the enabled guardrails, path coverage, and returned actions match the intended boundary.
  • Keep the policy identifier you will use in your SDK or integration close at hand for the next implementation step.
